Camping La Forêt is located in the heart of nature

Our camping can be found in the heart of the Dordogne region called Périgord Noir. The camp is 300 metres off the route D703 which runs from Le Bugue to Lalinde and 4 km from the picturesque village of Ste Alvère. The campsite ( 20 acres) has 90 sites for caravans, tents and mobil-homes. All sites are clearly marked and are situated in a glade of small oak trees. There is modern sanitation, English toilets, individual washrooms, free showers with constant hot water, a laundry room with washing and drying machine, ironong facilities and chemical deposit point are at your disposal. There is also a special toilet and shower room for handicapped persons.

The campsite is surrounded by hills with large forests, ideal for long or short walks in the countryside. Located at the foot of a sloping meadow which contains in the months of May and June a great variety of rare wild orchids and other wild flowers.

An exceptional quality of life

In Ste Alvère you will find all the little shops in a village, and medical group, pharmacy, tobacconist, bank and post office. There are supermarkets in Lalinde and The Bugue. Picturesque market on Monday in St Alvère on Tuesday in Le Bugue and Thursday in Lalinde. You can enjoy outdoor activities. You can descend the Dordogne by canoe in Limeuil (5 km away), take part in all kind of water sports in Tremolat (5 km away), go for a horse ride in Le Bugue (12 km away) or play golf on the 18 hole course in Saint Félix de Reilhac (15km away).
